New Brand of Characters by BeerCapMonster.
Korean startup BwaspMonster were captivated by the aesthetic designs of beer caps, and how they were mindlessly disposed after they fulfilled their function. How beer caps are treated reminded us of how employees in their 20-40s are treated in the workplace in Korea, and this inspired us to create BeerCapMonster characters with uncensored life stories employees can relate to.
Adult fictional characters are well developed in Japan and United States. You can find many of these characters that are profitable on online streaming services like Netflix. It is the goal of BeerCapMonster to create relatable and globally loved characters representing Korea, where such characters are scarce.
Going Global
To target international markets, they are promoting BeerCapMonster in New York City and Korea. Therefore, they chose New York City because it is home to people from all countries and many breweries.
Their promotion started with the production of “BeerCapMonster New York Guide” on Youtube introducing good eats in NYC. In addition, they are currently selling their apparel through social media, broadcasting weekly live web streaming, and hosting mural parties. Their apparel is so popular that they already sold out.
BeerCapMonster is only 3 months old but age is not a factor for success. Therefore, they truly believe their passion and dedication will reach more and more people around the world to alleviate their work-related stress.
