Startup Radar is a startup news and opinion website that was formed in 2018 with the help of 500v2, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity (KOFAC) who were the main organizers of Startup Festival 2017.
The site offers startup news, articles related to the startup ecosystem, original content from guest contributors from the leading tech sectors, event/conference coverage, culture, entertainment, lifestyle, and the latest breaking tech news.
Startup Radar has a vast network of VCs, accelerators, startups, and media spans all across Asia, U.S., and the U.K.
The company will host major conferences and events in Korea, including the Startup Festival 2018, partnered pitch competitions, and various meet-ups that will serve the startup community through alliance and collaboration.
Startup Radar serves to not only be Korea’s tech and startup community but also help Asian startups go global. In addition, help global startups to connect with Asia.

TJ Park | CEO/Founder
TJ Park is the CEO/Founder of Startup Radar a global media platform, the CEO/Founder of Valuable Accelerator and the CEO/Founder of SR Innovation, SNS Micro targeting solution provider and creative agency in Korea. He manages the day-to-day investments, fundraising, portfolio, international sales/marketing and company operations for Startup Radar, SR Innovation, Gangnam Seran clinic, and DOBU Lifetech. This includes maintaining and managing an international deal pipeline, organizing the fundraising pipeline, running the due diligence process, fund management, and coordinating portfolio management for all four companies. Prior to TJ’s role as the CEO of these companies, he was international recruiting officer at SAMSUNG and the Business Manager at SAMSUNG SDI. He was also the Marketing Researcher at AC Nielsen and Account Exec at DDB Needham ad agency.
Seo Hae | COO/Chief Operating Officer
COO at Startup Radar
Seo handles the vision, finance, strategy, business development and increasing operational efficiency for the growth of Startup Radar. He excels at the back end financial details for the company as well as creating new and innovative opportunities for the company. He has much experience in patent protection laws in Korea as well as years of experience regarding sales and marketing. He deals with the day to day operations regarding management finance, consulting, and forming partnerships with sponsors. He has a direct line to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Seo has previously held the roles of Editor in Chief at Mirae Times and FNTODAY. He was also the Business Manager at THE DIGITAL TIMES where he was awarded the Excellent Employee Commendation. He was awarded the Department of Commerce Industry Award Minister Prize and the Ministry of Unification Award Minister Prize.
John Yoon | Editor in Chief
John Yoon has been writing about the Korean startup Ecosystem for over 4 years with over 400 online articles. He was the head editor at Seoul Space, Korea’s first tech incubator, and co-working space. Through the successful launch of Startup Festival 2017 (www.sf2017.org), he has formed a vast network while organizing the largest government-sponsored global conference in Asia. He has connections not only in Korea, but also: China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, U.K., and U.S.,
He has worked closely with The Ministry of SME’s and Startups as well as KOFAC (Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity). He is also currently the International BD Manager at 500v2.
Sue Nguyen | Managing Editor
Sue is a Visual Content Creator and Social Media Manager at Startup Radar. She is a creative from Berlin who has designed social media content, web graphics and print materials for businesses, art platforms and media websites in Germany and Korea. She has worked for Foundry a fashion tech startup in Seoul as well as SeoulSpace a fashion tech accelerator/co-working hub. Due to her fluency in German, English, Vietnamese and Korean she has facilitated communication for small and large businesses and worked at international events, such as Startup Festival 2017.
