Do you have any idea that can solve any of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? The 2018 Urban Innovation Challenge is here again. Therefore, if you are interested in pitching your sustainable idea to get support and implementation, you have to participate in the 2018 Citypreneurs Seoul Challenge Workshop.
The event will be held at D.CAMP, Seonjeongneung, 6th Floor Hall on Monday June 25, 2018 from 6pm.
Citypreneurs Seoul Challenge Workshop
The Urban Innovation Challenge, dubbed “Citypreneurs” is a young SDGs start-up competition in Seoul. It is for prospective entrepreneurs from around the world interested in solving urban issues in Seoul. As well as, achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Furthermore, the Seoul Workshop on June 25 is to engage prospective start-up teams to learn and the discuss urban challenges of Seoul. Then have a discussion with city experts from Seoul City agencies. In addition, it will be a great avenue to develop creative ideas towards the competition.
Themes for this year’s competition
The Citypreneurs program is designed into 2 components: a startup competition that involves collaboration with city governments to solve urban problems as defined by the UN’s SDG agenda, and an inclusive policy interface that engages the academia, civil society and international organizations, public and private sectors, to discuss policies and alliance of youth empowerment enablers.
In addition, There are 3 themes for this year’s competition where startup team can propose practicable business models solve urban issues. They are:
- Urban Mobility
- Green Energy
- Social Protection
The competition is happening in Seoul for the second consecutive and it’s aimed at solving urban issues in the Seoul Metropolitan region.
The application is ongoing and will close on August 15.
