Korean Startup BBangya Networks Brings K-Pop Concerts Live Streaming Services

Introducing Bbangya Networks

Korean startup Bbangya Networks has come out with Bbangya TV which provides mobile content like live music and web-based Korean drama series.  You can watch golf tournaments with Bbangya Golf.  Last but not least you can watch live K-Pop concert streaming services with Bbangya Concerts.  Imagine you wait in line for hours to buy tickets to your favorite K-pop group.  Then when you get to the window you find out all the tickets have been sold out.  Now you have the option to see that concert on your mobile or computer!

Live Streaming Events & Concerts

Bbangya Networks has a production team dedicated to making new web dramas for their services.  As well as providing live streaming for K-pop concerts and other live events.  For example, in October of 2017 they lived streamed the Busan One Asia Festival and got more visitor traffic than SBS! Therefore they are not only a media company but also are a production company providing fresh content/live streaming.  It might only be a few years for them to become the Netflix of Korea for Korean entertainment content.

K-Pop Live Streaming

The company is planning to do at least 8 major K-Pop concerts live streaming services in 2018.  They are also developing a paid programs for backstage access, concerts, and fan meetups.  K-pop entertainment companies need to find new forms of revenue since most of their content is downloaded illegally off the internet.  You are starting to see more and more K-Pop groups doing concerts to earn more revenue.  Bbangya TV plans to own and license as much K-drama and K-Pop live stream content as possible.

K-Drama Web Series

With more and more Koreans having access to smartphones.  The market for Web-drams is growing every year.  They have partnered with kth for web-drama contents.  Kth holds the most licenses for web-dramas in Korea.  Bbangya Networks is also creating their own K-drama web series with “Chungchoon (Youth) Recipe” which stars Superjunior’s Heechul Kim.
