Chinese Startup QLC: Remote Internships

Remote Internships with Companies Around the World

Students these days are joining the workforce without the right skills.  Most are straight out of college and do not have experience working companies.  These are valuable lessons that should be taught in schools.  Chinese Startup QLC offers remote internships for students.  Now they will be able to work for companies all around the world.

QLC is all about helping people find something they love to do.  However, you don’t know if you will love it unless you experience it for yourself.  Therefore they help you explore alternative career and lifestyle experiences.

Low Employment with Youths

It is getting harder and harder for young people to get jobs.  The education system is very outdated and degrees are becoming less relevant.  We are moving towards a digital culture.  Therefore graduates need to have the right skills in order to succeed.  Industries are going digital, so more and more opportunities in tech are emerging.  However, employees are noticing that there is a severe lack of talent out there.

Remote Internships

The solution comes with remote internships.  This will give students the change to discover the opportunities with companies not just in China but all around the world.  They will be able to connect with industry mentors anywhere and anytime.  The best way to learn digital skills is through working on real projects.  Students join short-term, online and flexible career discovery projects to find out what works for them.

How does it work?

QLC helps connect startups, social enterprises, and industry leaders with interns who are eager to learn.  They then learn to work remotely for 6-12 weeks part-time.  They are connected with project leaders and will work with a team.  The team works on project tasks, curated training and framework.  There are also shorter projects that take place for four to six weeks.  There you will be matched with an innovative startup, social enterprise or creative project to gain experience, mentorship, and education.

QLC partners with Universities and in turn the Universities pay per student placement.  This is a great way for Universities to help their students find jobs once they graduate.  Also, students will get the ultimate education as they will gain valuable experience to elevate their career.   Once they complete the project, they’ll feel empowered with a new set of skills and industry insight.
