Seoul has been inundated with many startup events in the year but one event you can’t afford to miss this month is the Orange Fab Asia Seoul Innovation Demo-day Season 8. The event is going to take place on Wednesday September 12 at the Seoul Startup Hub from 1:30 – 6:30pm.
Orange Fab Asia is a three-month accelerator program that supports Asia-based start-ups aiming to expand to global markets. The seasonal pitch competition was created by Orange Labs in Tokyo, a subsidiary of Orange, one of the world’s leading telecommunication giants with presence in 28 countries.
Orange Fab Asia is intended for start-ups with an existing product that could benefit from accessing Orange’s distribution channels, markets, executive expertise and global footprint. The demo-days are held exclusively in 3 cities across Asia; Tokyo, Seoul and Tapei where participants obtain top notch training in the form of mentorships, workshops, lectures, meet-ups and social networking.

Eighteen (18) participating teams will be battling it out for the top prize in front of VCs, Angel investors, accelerators, global companies and a teeming audience. Among these 18 teams, 12 will be from the Orange Fab Asia startups (3 from Seoul, 3 from Taipei and 3 from Tokyo); 3 startups from the Seoul Startup Hub; and the remaining 3 from Korea Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CCEI).
These respective teams will get to pitch their innovative ideas and demo products to experience judges who adept in startup growth, investment, acceleration — and get the chance to answer questions from same.
The demo-day seeks to be an exciting and competitive event, that will be followed by a networking session for all.
Orange Fab Asia has in the past selected participants with existing products in the categories of AI and machine learning, cloud services, IoT, Smart Cities, Big Data and Video technologies.
Seoul Startup Hub
The Seoul Startup Hub is a spacious, ultramodern facility located in the heart of Seoul. The 10-floor edifice can boast of a 234 seat coworking space. There are incubating floors for over 300 startups, audiovisual equipment, large seminar and auditoriums and a roof-top garden. It is by far the largest coworking space for startups in Korea.
Seoul Startup Hub exists to be the place for entrepreneurs, startups, investors, and innovators to connect and create global businesses. The event host and organizers couldn’t have chosen a better place than this.
