A-Champs ROX Gets Kids Moving

Get Kids Moving

Kids spend 5 to 6 hours a day in front of TVs or their smartphones/Ipads.  Startup A-Champs based out of China has created ROX to change that.  A-Champs brings gaming action off the screen and into the real world.  Imagine playing Zelda or Mario Brothers in your backyard.  Therefore ROX is the very first off-screen game console and their main goal is to give kids the same kind of gaming experience as they would with video games.

In order to get kids active, kids need to be engaged and entertained.  There are many kinds of games ROX can create in the real world from memory games to different kinds of tech games.  Kids will be able to play inside or outside.  Anywhere where kids can run and jump freely.

Types of Games

Their most popular game is the Zombie tech game.  It works by having the kids step on the ROX which lights up and can make a sound like a zombie.  That kid then becomes a zombie and they will have to case the other kids around to turn them into zombies too.

The best part about ROX is that the kids themselves can create games with their imagination.

How ROX Works

ROX consists of one master controller, three “ROX” seen below, and three straps.

ROX’s are wirelessly connected and are very durable.  The tops of the ROX are made out of the same material as the jet fighters canopy.  Furthermore, there are different kinds of sensors inside and they give off different sound and light effects.  In addition, ROX comes with 20 pre-programmed games so kids just place the ROX on the ground and select the game they want to play from the master controller.

What is cool about ROX is that you can add up to 50 ROX to one main controller.  Therefore ROX is great for classrooms, families, and birthday parties.

What A-Champs wants to do is stimulate some kind of physical activity with a certain kind of benefit.  Therefore, they are not just bringing another toy to the market but they are also teaching kids the joy of having a healthy and active lifestyle.
